Anglo American Hotel Florence
The Anglo American Hotel Florence, Curio Collection by Hilton, underwent a significant renovation that led to its reopening on March 31, 2024.
Originally built in 1892, the historic building was acquired in 2021 by the Star II Fund, managed by Castello SGR. The renovation project was carried out by Italian architect Chiara Caberlon for CaberlonCaroppi studio. The renovation project aimed to preserve the building’s main historical elements, integrating them with a modern and elegant design inspired in particular by the 1920s.
The hotel now offers 118 rooms and suites, characterised by a vibrant colour palette and details inspired by the revolutionary arts of the early 20th century.
Among the new additions, the hotel features an inviting internal courtyard, the Whisper Wine Bar and Courtyard, once a gathering place for Florence’s Anglo-American community, and Vivi Bistro, where guests can enjoy local and international cuisine.
The property also includes a modern fitness centre and two meeting rooms capable of hosting up to 70 people.
The renovation project also placed particular attention on sustainability, through the reuse of existing materials and the use of finishes that respect the historical integrity of the building.
With this transformation, the Anglo American Hotel Florence has become the first hotel of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand in Florence, contributing to the expansion of Hilton’s presence in Italy.
