Puccini Hotel Milan

Tapestry Collection by Hilton Milan
A Stage in the Heart of Porta Venezia

In the lively Porta Venezia district, il Puccini is born from a project that turns hospitality into a narrative experience, inspired by the world of theatre and the vibrant cultural identity of the neighbourhood. Signed by Studio Chiara Caberlon, the concept weaves together architecture, interior design and storytelling, creating an immersive journey where every space invites guests to step onto the stage and live their own story.

Arrival at the hotel is conceived as the first act of a show. A red carpet leads guests towards reception, while a conceptual wall behind it, covered in wallpaper panels, creates the illusion of a theatre's stage backdrop. During check in, staff, dressed in a style reminiscent of the highbrow dramatic actor, ask for an autograph instead of a simple signature, guiding guests through the city's cultural events on a monthly updated billboard.

The Rooms as Backstage

The concept of the room revolves, quite literally, around the guest, who truly finds themselves at the centre of their own personal stage. Theatrical references are evident and become a subtle invitation to begin one's own experience by choosing a character: among the amenities on offer, a hydrating night mask and, just as when entering a theatrical show, mints.

Every piece of information takes the form of a script, guiding guests through the house rules. Warm, welcoming and enveloping, the room is an iconic stage, while the bathroom appears as a true backstage, with references to the art nouveau that once characterised the public restrooms of Porta Venezia at the turn of the century.

The "Croissant and Champagne at il Puccini" terrace is the heart of the hotel's dining offer.

Here too the reference to art nouveau is very strong, thanks to wallpapers and graphics inspired by the work of Portaluppi, the celebrated Italian architect and designer of the 1920s. To underline the link with the theatrical concept, waiters carry iconic vintage hand held trays, of the kind once worn by usherettes in theatre halls.

The spaces are fresh and bright, where real and scenic greenery alternate with large curtains that, like stage curtains, conceal and divide the areas dedicated to breakfast, quick lunches and aperitivo. The true magic of the terrace comes alive at sunset, when the sun lowers on the horizon, creating an intimate, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for an aperitivo of pure pleasure and relaxation. The F&B offer also stays true to the concept of exploration and discovery, unexpected and with a vintage flavour, offering a small selection of simple culinary treats, always best paired with a glass of champagne.
